Until Morning (Work In Progress)

Once, there was a heart that was broken. Steam-powered machinery was the only way which he could continue to pump and give life to his master, Nox. But the heart longed for something else. For on the outside, there lived a young, glowing star. She was the most beautiful star in all the sky, and he loved her. One night, able to stand it no longer, the heart broke free from Nox...at least, enough to finally meet the love of his life. She, too, fell in love with him, and they would begin to spend every night together. They were perfect for each other - her warm flames turned the water inside him into steam, powering his cybernetic body, and the cool water inside him kept her from burning out. But night after night, the heart would have to return to his slumbering master before he woke. For if Nox were ever to discover his heart's treachery, the heart's punishment would be severe. The heart longed to be free for good, to be with his true love, but it could not be. For if he and his master were ever permanently separated, they would both die. So night after night, the heart and the star would continue to meet, promising each other "At least we have until morning..."

...WOW, that was cheesy. Well, that's what happens when you think about Salvador Dali, watch 4 episodes of Pushing Daisies, and think about the girl you liked in high school all in the same day. I'm calling this a work in progress, because at this point, it kinda sucks. It could definitely be improved, so I'd really like some feedback and ideas from you guys.
